Hypnosis enables you to focus on the arising problem and to solve it by yourself with the help and guidance of a hypnotherapist. The hypnotherapist will direct you through the process and give you the necessary tools to deal with the problem in the future without resolving to medication.
While under hypnosis, you will be in a deep state of relaxation during which, positive suggestions are given to your subconscious mind. In this deep state of relaxation, your mind won’t disregard nor discriminate against the information given.
During the session, you will feel peaceful as your conscious mind will be put at rest; it is important as your conscious mind is responsible for your critical thinking, and often it prevents you from making the changes that you wish to make. Your subconscious mind operates on beliefs and emotions. It controls your habits and other things that you automatically do. It is worth to note that your subconscious mind does remember everything that you have ever experienced. It is where hypnosis comes to play. Hypnotherapist communicates with your subconscious mind allowing it to learn and replace old negative habits, overcome negative emotions to simply make a change. In the state of hypnosis, your mind is very receptive to new ideas and by use of our techniques, we will encourage and implement more sensible and balanced behaviours to reframe your thinking and behavioural patterns.
Can anyone be hypnotised?
Can I be made to do things against my will?
No. During hypnosis, your mind is focused and fully aware.
Is there any physical contact involved during the session?
Will I remain aware of my surrounding during hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of a “daydreaming” if you like. You will be fully aware of your surroundings and in full control.
What about the dangers of hypnosis?
There are not direct dangers associated with hypnosis. However, if you do suffer from epilepsy or had a psychotic incident in the past then you must consult hypnotherapy with your GP first.
What if I won’t wake up from hypnosis?
You will. During hypnosis, you are deeply relaxed but not sleeping. Even if you are “stuck in hypnosis” you will simply go to sleep and be gently waken up.
Where do you operate and what is the area that you cover?
Hypnotherapy sessions are available by appointment only in Perth City Centre.
What about secrets?
During initial assessment I will ask you about any background information that are directly related to the presenting issue. Other than that, I won’t ask you about any personal matters that are not related to the problem. Please mind that every session is confidential, and all information given will remain confidential.
Are you providing home visits?
Unfortunately home visits are not available in light of COVID-19 pandemic. Home visits will be resumed when is safe to do so.
Yes, I do! I prefer home visits more than anything else, as I understand the importance of being able to relax in your own home. For most people home is a safe place, a place where you are relaxing the most. That is why, for your own convenience, I will visit you in your home at no extra cost!
What is your cancellation policy?
I understand that at some point you may change or cancel your appointment. If that is the case then please give me 48-hour notice and I will do my best to accommodate any changes. If you do, however, don’t turn up for your appointment without any notice given than unfortunately, I will have to charge you with a cost of the session. This policy allows me to utilise unused appointments to better serve the needs of all clients.
